Foxes Manor is a Grade II listed 16th century Cotswolds Manor House and the oldest house in the village, the main building dating back nearly four hundred years, and the 'new' wing being added about a hundred years later. The house retains nearly all its original oak beams and floorboards, plus four substantial open fireplaces, two of which are available for guests to use.

With the inclusion of mullioned stone windows, oak paneling, and a priest hole you have one of the most intriguing and evocative Jacobean houses in the region. The house stands in its own (pet friendly) tranquil stone-walled garden overlooked by a two hundred year old yew tree yet is less than a minute walk from the heart of the village, via it's own private gate. Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the 'Venice of the Cotswold's', boasts a wealth of attractions, including a famous model village, motor museum, perfumery and bird sanctuary, plus a host of pubs, restaurants and shops.

However, the undisputed jewel is the River Windrush, which flows through the centre of the village flanked by the village green, and crossed by no less than five stone bridges. The village is well served with a post office, two supermarkets, a library, and village pubs all within a few minutes walk of the house. Riding is available at a local stable at one end of the village, and there are extensive fishing lakes at the other.
